Do I need a UPS for my NAS?
Strongly recommended. A NAS writing to disk during a power cut can corrupt a filesystem or an in-flight array operation. A UPS gives you the seconds to ride out a blip and the minutes to trigger a clean shutdown over USB. It is cheaper than one bad rebuild, and every serious homelab runs one.
