The deepest reviewers in this category mostly sell the gear they rank. We stock nothing — so we referee on the published specs and the warranty fine print instead: VESA fit, weight ranges, desk-thickness limits and what the warranty actually covers, ranked by what suits your desk before any payout.
Why this site exists
The deepest reviewers in home-office gear tend to sell the gear they rank. That is not an accusation of bad faith — a retailer with a workshop can tear a product down in ways we cannot. But it does mean the most detailed verdict you will find is written by someone with inventory to move.
We stock nothing. There is no house brand here, no warehouse, and no product we need you to choose. What we can do instead is read the spec sheets and the warranty fine print carefully, put them side by side, and tell you which numbers actually decide the purchase.
How we work
- We stock nothing. The two deepest desk reviewers both sell the desks they rank. We don't — so nothing on the shortlist is quietly steering you toward a house brand.
- We compare the published specs. Lift capacity, motor stages, speed, published noise, and the frame/motor/top warranty split — from spec sheets and cited third-party tests, never an implied lab of our own.
- We rank by fit, then price. Picks are ordered by what actually fits your room, budget, and stability needs from the specs — payouts are consulted after, never first.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. That is the whole business model, and it is why the ranking rule matters — picks are ordered by fit first, and payouts are consulted afterwards. A product does not move up this site because it pays better. Our editorial standards spell out the rules we hold ourselves to, and our methodology explains exactly what our comparisons are — and are not.
