FAQ · Backup
What is 3-2-1 backup?
Three copies of your data, on two different media, with one copy offsite. The NAS is one copy; a second local target (an external drive or second NAS) is the second; a cloud or a drive at another location is the offsite. It survives a drive failure, a NAS failure, and a house fire — the three failure modes RAID alone does not.
